Last weekend, we went for brunch at a place called
Montania Cafe Bar and Restaurant in Ferntree Gully.
It is conveniently located amongst the strip of shops at Mountain Gate Shopping Centre and the drive there was quite scenic, as you get views of the Dandenong Mountain.
The place offers both indoor and outdoor dining. Lucky for us, the sun was shining, so we opted to sit outside and to soak up some rays.
I browsed through the menu and the seafood marinara immediately caught my attention. This particular dish contained a very generous portion of calamaris, fresh scallops, fish fillets, prawns, mussels and a delicious Moreton Bay Bug.

My friend had the lamb and fetta cheese pizza, without the lamb (she prefers no meat on her pizza). The pizza topping usually includes char-grilled lamb, fetta cheese, red onions, olives and drizzled with tzatziki sauce. Even without the lamb, the pizza looked and tasted delicious.

The food did not disappoint and exceeded both our expectations. The price was very reasonable for the quality of food we had. Our meals cost approximately $40 in total.
We will definitely be back again.
