It's not quite the Glenelg foreshore, but if you head down to for the weekend you can be sure to find a great beach and some fun things to do. Whether you take a day, a weekend or a week, visit to take a much-needed break. Check out these things to do while you're down there:

The Beach:
The large stretch of Moana beach is popular to families, swimmers, and surfers and features great spots to relax or swim. It is patrolled by lifesavers from the Moana Surf Life Saving Club . Moana beach is also one of the few beaches left in Adelaide where you can drive your car onto the beach.

Moana Market:
If you're down in Moana on the second Sunday of the month then you can head to the Moana Pioneers Memorial Hall for the Moana Market . Stalls sell second hand books, jewellery, doll's clothes, delicious baked goods and fudge, as well as other bits and pieces. If you're lucky you can also grab a sausage sizzle while you're there.

Deep Blue Cafe:
You can grab a tasty meal at Deep Blue Cafe or cool yourself with a drink or ice cream on a hot day. Deep Blue Cafe used to be the local deli, but over the years it has evolved into a popular dining spot on the beachfront. On the weekend you can head there for breakfast, or spend the evening chatting over a few drinks and their salt and pepper squid.

Tourist Park:
If you're planning a sojourn at Moana you might want to check out the Tourist Park . With cottages, units and powered sites you can choose your level of comfort. The tourist park is on the beach front and features its own playground as well as being close to the local playground, the beach and all other attractions.
