Did one or more jump out at you?

The talent behind is a perfectionist who has always loved to bake. Her curiosity about the science of baking was ignited in her Yr 12 Food Tech class and her love of cake decorating and cupcakes was whipped up and blended at a weekend course on cake decorating at William Angliss.

remembers her Yr 12 Food Tech teacher telling her 'There's no point having something look good, if it doesn't taste good'. wholeheartedly agreed and began her search to find the best recipe, the best ingredients and the best flavour combinations.

She then took over her mum's kitchen with baking and decorating. The word got out. At first, she baked for friends and family but was soon getting calls from strangers who were prepared to travel for a creation.

This meant that mum's kitchen was no longer big enough to handle demand and ditching her dispassionate 9 to 5 grind, moved in at 5 Hopetoun rd, Park Orchards. Mum was happy to have her kitchen back and began living her dream.

Her flawless secret recipe for a moist and tasty cupcake, that took a lot of research and many baking trials to perfect, is now being created in her purposely-designed kitchen where cupcakes, cakes, slices and biscuits are baked fresh daily.

sources only the best ingredients for her perfect recipe. Fairtrade Belgian Chocolate, berries from the Yarra Valley, locally grown lemons and where possible, top quality organic ingredients. That's why you can actually taste the genuine flavours in the cupcakes.

No one is ever disappointed.

I bought four difference cupcakes at her grand opening and they were deliciously moist. I could taste and see the orange in the Orange and Poppyseed cupcake and the Belgian Chocolate was just the right amount of chocolatey decadence. I didn't eat all of them on the same day nor did I share. I had one for the next three days and by the fourth day, I found that the last cupcake was just as moist and tasty as the one I had on day one. Both the butter and cream cheese icing were flavoursome without any mouth full of sugar hit.

bakes three to four sorts of cupcakes each day and there are about six available on Saturdays. Get in early or call ahead as she often sells out. Check out her Instagram to see what's available on the day. She can cater for any party or big event.

Current biscuits on offer are choc chip and gingerbread men. Her hot chocolate sticks and chocolate lollypops are from her good chocolatier friend Melt Me . There's ice-cream from Connoisseur as well.

also sells items to help you with your party or afternoon tea. Tea cups, candles, cake toppers, balloons, plates, cards and paper cups. Select items from Gewuerzhaus are also on the shelves.
