Is it dangerous? Can it kill me? These and other important facts of life in the scrub will be discussed by Kate Sparks at the Mini-Beasts of Mt Lofty Landcare Talk. Kate is the entomologist who manages the Arachnid and Myriapod Collection at the South Australian Museum. She has a wide range of experience including working as the senior Entomologist for the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service in Melbourne. Kate is speaking at the Upper Sturt Soldiers Memorial Hall at the invitation of the Sturt Upper Reaches Landcare Group.

This event on arachnids and myriapods will be a hit with young and old. With both live and preserved specimens and accurate scientific information it will be a talking point for the kids for weeks to come. The early Public Meeting time of 6.30pm makes it easily accessible to families. Come and see funnel-web and trapdoor spiders at Landcare's demonstration site behind the Soldiers Memorial Hall.

Light refreshments will be available following the meeting. A gold coin donation to aid the activities of Sturt Upper Reaches Landcare Group would be appreciated.
