Whether you are new to the world of mindfulness or wish to deepen your understanding, the popular 'Daylong Mindfulness Retreat' on Saturday 3rd of June, 2017 at the convenient location of South Brisbane Sailing Club, 68 Hill End Tce, West End is an ideal and timely experience.
Presented by Dr Sharn Rocco, who has received teachings from some of the great meditation masters of our time, this full day workshop (10am to 4pm) will introduce you to the fundamentals of mindfulness and the postures of meditation which can be easily replicated at home.
Held in an encouraging and supportive atmosphere, you'll enjoy six hours of mostly silent, guided practice and instruction. From practising sitting, walking and compassion meditations to learning mindful eating and practical strategies to bring mindfulness to daily life, you'll leave this workshop equipped to live each day with more mindful awareness.
Sharn is an acclaimed teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and was twice scholar-in-residence for the Garrison Institute New York. She has taught mindfulness courses and led daylong and weekend retreats in various locations in NSW and Queensland, as well as in New York and Oslo.
