Millers Point Festival
The inaugural Millers Point Festival is on this Saturday the 6th of September.
There will be music and entertainment as well as a number of guided walks around the area. Public lectures are also in the offing, however they don't sound too riveting so I'd probably stick to the walks.
The exhibitions and opens days at the surrounding historical buildings which cover Millers point could also be worth a look. The Sydney Observatory is always interesting if you've not been before.
It's mostly a free event with the exception of the guided walks which cost from $10 to $15. The first activities start at 10am and last through to about 5pm.
More information on the festival website.
Inaugural events can be a little hit and miss but this should provide an interesting day out for the more historically minded.
WHEN: Saturday the 6th of September
WHERE: Millers Point
COST: Mostly free
