Midsummer Nights Dream is just one of three plays being performed at Marloo Theatre to celebrate Shakespeares 450th birthday.

Other plays being performed are Macbeth and Othello.


[ADVERT]Midsummer Nights Dream conveys many emotions. There were moments where my sides hurt from laughing, and others where the danger seemed so real, I feared for the actors well being.

Dramatic lighting and intricate costumes added to the breathtaking beauty of this play, while the stage, which has been built to look like an Elizabethan theatre, was set up in a way that allowed the actors, with their high standard skills and ability to engage the audience, were able to show their intent using as few props as possible, leaving plenty of room for some rather interesting actions.
