Calling all Mouseketeers! Mickey's coming to town. Our favourite mouse will be touring Australia these summer holidays and he's bringing the whole gang with him.
The team that bought us
Disney on Ice is back with a musical extravaganza that is sure to appeal to the whole family. Classic Disney tunes have been remixed to bring Mickey and his mates bang up to date. I can't give away all the inside info but you can expect to see The Little Mermaid stars, Aladdin, Jasmine and Genie as well as your favourite toys from Toy Story, perform their classic hits with a twist of hip hop, reggae, country and much more.
The show uses a clever mix of video, lighting and audience participation to keep little mouseketeers engaged. We were delighted to hear many of the classics from the movies but also surprised to hear a few recent hits that are not usually associated with Disney but that most kids will know. I thought this was a great idea to appeal to children on the cusp of outgrowing Mickey and princesses. Most parents will smile at the use of a few tracks from our youth such as
Girls just wanna have fun and
Hey Mickey.
Aladdin was the stand out dancer for this
Australia's Got Talent tragic; Ariel's silver high heels were a winner for my little princess and the opening video of Donald and Goofy had Master 7 rolling in the aisles. This is a fun family show for Disney fans of all ages.
