Meridian Sculpture, Australia's premier fine art foundry, is currently hosting an exclusive in-house workshops providing the enrolled student with an unparalleled grounding in sculptural modelling techniques and a great introduction to the basics of fine art bronze casting.
Held monthly, this series of interactive workshops are presented over 2 sessions by artist Darien Pullen, who has over 25 years of teaching experience.
The unique hands-on course is taught in a small class size, ensuring each student receives personalised guidance and instruction. The curriculum centres on the basics of fine art bronze casting and together students will put their new skills and knowledge into practice by creating their own wax model, which will be cast, finished and patinated (coloured) by Meridian.
This is a rare opportunity to learn the art of lost-wax casting, a process that has little changed over the last millennia.
Held in a fun and encouraging atmosphere, this engaging workshop offers an unparalleled grounding in sculptural modelling techniques and is ideal for all skill levels.
Tuition only classes are also available.
Held over two, 3 hour session on weekends please visit EventBrite and follow the prompts to see all workshop dates listed until December 2017. A gift certificate option is also available - it's the perfect gift for those who love getting creative.
