The Tote is an old pub and music venue, that is popular with rock and roll fans. Half of the nights of the week you'll be able to catch some sort of gig here. Since the 1980s music has been coming from these walls, and The Tote hosts some big international acts, as well as loads of local bands. If you like to rock, then this could be your venue of choice.

A great music venue with tons of character and atmosphere is the Palace Theatre. This is an over 18s only venue, but it is becoming a popular location for many international acts. The building is almost 100 years old, and it has been known as a theatre, a cinema, a nightclub, and a live music venue. There is no specific music genre that calls the Palace Theatre home, you can expect anything from rock, to pop, to alternative, to hip hop, and anything in between. From Eels, Outkasts' Big Boi, the Hives, and the Dandy Warhols, loads of International acts are heading to the Palace.

The Corner Hotel in Richmond has been a live music venue since the 1940s and has seen the likes of U2, Queens of the Stone Age, Billy Joel, Blink-182, Interpol and Interpol. It was also the home of a secret Mick Jagger gig in the late 1980s. This venue has been the topic of a few legends and stories, and remains an important venue in Melbourne's music scene history.
