Child-friendly cafes can be a godsend to mums and dads who are into the cafe culture. While there aren't many cafes that discriminate against families, it is always nice to find somewhere that has great amenities, and lots of entertainment for the kids, and that lacks those snarky onlookers when someone decides to throw a bit of a tantrum. Having kids means that a whole new world of fabulous child friendly cafes opens up for you, but which one of them is the best?

Child Friendly Cafes are Great Way to Wear the Kids Out

It is hard to go past a place called Birdie Num Nums, and your kids will agree this this is worth a visit. Birdie Num Nums has everything that you need in a cafe, like change tables and highchairs, and a kids menu, but it also has those things that you don't need but love to have. Your kids can enjoy the play area or sandpit, or sit down with you to try their babycino. The kids will love it, but is it the best child friendly cafe Melbourne has to offer?

Hopscotch at Leroy's

The equally adorably named Each Peach is another place for you to head with the kids. Each Peach is equally as good for kids and parents. They serve up tasty food, while also making sure that your kids have fun with their box of toys. There is a kids menu, and little ones are free to enjoy themselves. This very relaxing cafe could be just the place you love to bring your kids.

Babycino's is very aptly named. A babycino is a popular cafe drink for tiny tots, made from frothed milk and chocolate powder, and like this little drink Babycino's is made just for kids. There is a full outdoor playground for them to enjoy, and it is a much nicer atmosphere for mum and dad than sitting by the MacDonald's playground. The relaxed atmosphere of this cafe might come from the fact that it is run out of someone's backyard.

The Adorable Babycino's

Two other child friendly cafes are Lulabelle's and Leroy's. At Lulabelle's you'll enjoy the food, and the kids can have fun with all of the toys and activities available. You might end up spending far more than planned at Lulabelle's, because its a shop too, filled with so many gorgeous and brilliant kids toys. Leroy's has got a great outdoor play area for kids including a slide, sandpit, and lots of fun activities for the kids. There is a big kids menu with choices that your little ones will love.

You might think one of these places is the best cafe to head to with your kids, or you might have a gem you've discovered yourself. Child friendly cafes don't have to be child wonderlands to be great. Your local Gloria Jeans might fuss over your bub and make the best babycinos. We're looking for any cafes around Melbourne that give great service to you and your kids.

I just had a look for Babycino's and a review site says it's closed. Pity!
