While the walk down to the end of Docklands Drive may feel like you're headed to a place where you'll find a dumped corpse, one is warmly greeted by large old shipping containers colourfully decorated with graffiti and converted into art galleries, food stalls, and a even a central bar!

1000 Pound Bend has a central bar in the market!
The People's Market is a small flea market where one can find an assortment of trash and treasures, pre-loved clothes and accessories, hand-made jewellery, brand new handbags and hats, fragrance diffusers, and original art for sale.
After browsing through the stalls and art galleries, sit and relax on an inverted milk crate and enjoy a refreshingly cold beer, emu or kangaroo pie, Taiwanese pork floss, or some Mexican delights.

Pre-loved treasures include shoes, guitars, clothes, books, and LP records.

Brand new items are also available for purchase.

Art gallery inside a shipping container - a great idea.
Everyone is relaxed and often the shipping container stalls are unattended, leading you to wonder if the place is actually in business. Enjoy the slow paced atmosphere, where random people strike up conversations making you feel like you've stumbled in to a country town, as this kind of feeling is hard to come by.

Open every Saturday til late!
