Love Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Cinema - you're not alone.

The Melbourne Filmoteca is a special non-profit group dedicated to promoting Latin America culture in Australia - through screenings of Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese feature film, documentary and short-films.

As Australian film distribution of International film titles is somewhat sparse, the Melbourne Filmoteca is also offering a unique opportunity for Australian audiences to view and embrace the up and coming directors, writers and actors of the national cinemas of Portugal, Mexico, Argentina, Columbia and Spain.

Hosted exclusively at ACMI cinemas, the Melbourne Filmoteca hold monthly screenings of feature films, documentary and short film at the price of $15 for a single ticket or $12 concession ticket.

In the past Melbourne Filmoteca have screened a variety of titles, including;

Goodnight Irene (2008)

Toro Negro (2005)

El Bola (2000)

Corazon del Tiempo (2008)

Upcoming titles for 2011, have just been revealed and include;

Bluff (2007) on 1/2/2011 at 7:30pm
