The Melbourne Environmental Film Festival is a great wake up call, and an increasing of consciousness to really open our eyes and give us the ability to really appreciate what is happening to our natural resources. And something which goes way beyond climate change issues.
If you appreciate quality films in the city of culture that is Melbourne; then the
Melbourne Environmental Film Festival is right up your alley at
Kino Cinemas at Collins Street in the City.
All going well, this might continue to become an annual event, and you might be confronted in an unexpected way. A preview of a couple of the films available for show can be viewed by clicking
here. The full program is available at effm.org.au
A range of issues are covered by the various film makers involved in this initiative: key environmental issues from wastage to renewable energy to even saving our rainforests; something of which you appreciate more of, if you have ever gone to tropical north Queensland and stayed near the Daintree Rainforest up at Cape Tribulation.
It would be great to see at least a film to convey more gratitude for the great city that we all live in: Melbourne.
