On June 10, the
2009 Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow will be holding its sole Sydney performance at Parramatta’s
Riverside Theatres.
As the MCFR website explains:
“Now the festival is over the comedians have left the building…to hit the road!
After being cooped up in the dark rooms of Melbourne for close to a month, the Comedy Festival’s most adventurous (and bravest) comedians are chomping at the bit to break out from the barriers and hit the road for a whistle-stop tour of this great Southern land.
Now in it's 11th year, the Roadshow shares the Comedy Festival vibe with punters outside the Melbourne area code.”
The line-up will be:
Kitty Flanagan,
Daniel Townes,
Denise Scott and
The Axis of Awesome, with
Dave Thornton as MC. Wondering what they’re going to be like? Well, according to
The Sunday Times, the Roadshow “has such chalk and cheese personalities delivering such a wide assortment of gags, it has everyone's humour covered”.
