The Meet the Dolphin Program at Sea World allows visitors to meet and even shake hands (or fins?) with the resident dolphins. Wading into ankle deep water, you get to remain reasonably dry, until you start having fun (also known as a water fight) with the dolphin.
The dolphins show my partner and I a thing or two about water fights (they won this battle). Picture care of Experience Oz
The trainers will talk to you about the dolphins, and show you a few little tricks that the signal the dolphins to perform tricks they are trained to do. During my experience I learnt that if you wave your hands like a conductor, the dolphins will make noises as though they are trying to sing. It is hilarious!
The dolphins are amazing and clever creatures, and their skin is something you have to feel for yourself. Sea world will take a photo of you and your new dolphin friend so you can cherish and remember this moment for years to come. See the video below for my Sea World Experience.
As you can see, the dolphins have even been trained to smile when having their picture taken. Picture care of Experience Oz
At $140 per person (excluding general admission to Sea World), this is a reasonable cost to be given the opportunity to get close to these beautiful creatures of the water. If you are interested to find out more, see the Sea world website.
