McDonald's BBQ Lamb Burger

Sadly Australia said goodbye to the 'Serious Lamb Burger' not to long ago. Now, McDonald's has decided to market a new Aussie range of burgers, drinks and desert items. One of the Aussie items has been dubbed the 'BBQ Lamb Burger'. I tried this item the other day. Sadly I must say, the burger was a bit of a disappointment. I had much higher expectations of this burger, especially after trying the 'Serious Lamb Burger' not too long ago.



'BBQ Lamb Burger'

The burger has a lamb patty, that has been seasoned with oregano and other yummy spices, which sits in a damper style bun, accompanied with lettuce, BBQ sauce, garlic aioli and tomato. (From the image I included, you can probably see McDonald's has forgotten to use the damper style bun and instead used a 'Quarter Pounder' bun).

Why was I disappointed?

My expectations were high. I thought the burger was going to be as good as the 'Serious Lamb Burger'. However, the lamb patty was a lot smaller and thinner then the 'Serious Lamb Burger's' patty. Actually the whole burger was a lot smaller (the burger was the size of the 'Quarter Pounder').

Would I try it again? **

I do not think so. However, I do recommend this burger to anyone that has not tried the 'Serious Lamb Burger'. If you have not tried the 'Serious Lamb Burger', then I do not think you will be disappointed.
