Matchbox Twenty Australian Tour 2012 – Adelaide

Matchbox Twenty have announced that they will tour Australia for the first time in four years. The internationally famous band will hit our shores and the long-awaited performances will start in October 2012. Their first tour since 2008 is much anticipated and will follow the release of 'North', their forth full-length studio album.



The award winning band, Matchbox Twenty, is known world-wide for their pop-rock hits such as 'Long Day', 'Real World', 'Bent', 'If You're Gone', 'Disease', 'Unwell', 'Bright Lights' and the No 1 hit and biggest selling single to date 'How Far We've Come'.

That's not even to mention their newest single, 'She's So Mean' that is rocketing up the charts. This song is sure to become an instant classic, just like many of the other singles from their new album 'North', that have not yet been released.

Popular lead singer of Matchbox Twenty, Rob Thomas, is a hugely successful songwriter and solo artist in his own right. He has worked with some legendary artist on multiple projects and released several hit solo albums. His distinctive voice is easily recognisable as he belts out hit after hit. Despite his popularity and success as an individual performer, he has decided to return to Matchbox Twenty after much anticipation by all of the fans. Fans love him.



Most fans, having grown up with the band, are sure to know all of the classics and will be singing along loudly to every song. Matchbox Twenty's unique style of pop-rock music has been filling the airways for many years now and as the fans have grown so has the band. The performances and styles of the songs have matured well with age like a fine wine.

There are many fans out there desperate to go to such an iconic band's concert and there will be some disappointed people around who may not be able to get tickets as they are selling fast. We will just have to hope more tour dates and tickets are released.

Joining Matchbox Twenty on tour will be the great, legendary Aussie rock-band – INXS . With their new lead vocalist Ciaran Gribbin, INXS will perform their greatest hits in an hour long set. This fabulous INXS performance will coincide with the 20th anniversary celebration of the release of their classic album 'Kick'.

A household name, fixed in Australian Music History, INXS are known for such hits as 'Original Sin', 'Burn for You', Kiss the Dirt', 'Listen Like Thieves', 'Suicide Blonde', 'Beautiful Girl', 'Mystify' and 'What You Need'.

This is a not to be missed event for all Matchbox Twenty fans.

Matchbox Twenty will be performing in Adelaide at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Thursday 8th November, 2012.
