Mario's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria is a beautiful restaurant located right in the heart of
Broadbeach. You have three different sections to choose from to sit, either outside near the promenade, inside the restaurant or even inside the Oasis Shopping Centre.
The food varies from home cooked lasagnas to beautiful cheesy, thin traditional oven baked style pizzas. I had the
gnocchi and they were exactly like they are overseas, and mind you they give you a big handful of them. Not like those posh restaurants where you get the size of a small ball, but a whole big bowl full of creamy gnocchi or pasta.
The service is wonderful as well and the people are very multicultural and professionals with lots of pride in their work. There was a girl who had her birthday and the staff brought out her cake and sung to her in front of all the other customers, now that's customer service right there.
It's a wonderful place to experience with friends and even as a romantic dinner while sipping on some expensive, but fair price and tasty wine. It's a must go if you haven't been, especially for those nostalgic Italianos in Australia who want to feel at home.
