When locals think of the Northern Beaches of Sydney there is no doubt that fresh seafood crosses people's minds. Enter Manly 16ft Skiff Club. The venue, renovated roughly two years ago, has revamped its exterior bar, kitchen and bathrooms, but also its delicious menu that takes you from day into night. The best way to describe the Skiff Club is a touch of Hamptons elegance with a nautical twist.

With an improvement in its interior and exterior it is no surprise that the venue has also upped its dining game with some new and imaginative food options worthy of foodie competitions. Pushing the boundaries of 'club food' and giving patrons options outside of your regular go-to pizza and burger options, the is taking their menu to new heights with the help of their head chef and sous chef.

With prime location being a most-definite draw card to the club, it is easy to see why locals and visitors alike enjoy this venue. Set along the backdrop of Manly Harbour and with views of Manly Cove, what is not to like? Team the prime real estate with a scrumptious menu and you are on to a winner.

The dinner menu, served from (5-9:30pm depending on the day) is comprised of a selection of land, sea and air proteins. For seafood lovers out there who don't want to venture too far from the ordinary, there is the juicy barramundi burger.

For curry fans, I assume most of them may make an appearance on Tuesday for the $15 curry special (or a share serving for two for $25). On our night the Skiff was serving a delicious aromatic Goan fish curry that really was heaven on the palate. Each of the varied curried dishes come with steamed rice, a pappadum and pickled relish. It is definitely up there in rivaling some of the seafood pub nosh options.

For steak lovers, there is Riverrine Angus Rump on the menu along with Grain fed Sirloin on the Bone. A juicy Skiff Beef Burger might also tickle a meat lovers fancy. All burgers are served with fries which is great value for money.

With prime waterfront views it is not hard to see why seafood always works. The Seafood Basket is a must for ocean creature lovers. The basket comes brimming with prawns, oysters, calamari and a succulent battered-cider fish with a side of chunky chips and chunky tarter sauce.

For those wanting an upgrade, the Seafood Tower is another great sharing option, especially for 2-4 people. Stacked three tiers high and comprised of lobster, prawns, oysters, calamari, salmon, tuna, battered fish, chunky chips and a selection of dips; it is easy to see why such a tower creates a stir.

The has a great atmosphere with spectacular food and views to boot. For those looking for a change from your regular Bondi hang, why not travel up north and indulge in some icy cold beers and fresh seafood whilst watching the sailing boats come in. You won't be disappointed.
