You are so beautiful, so forget that foundation and go fresh
Make Up Free Me Day 2013
We know beauty is more than skin deep, so why not ditch the makeup for a day?

Think of all the gorgeous women you know. There are a lot of them aren't there.

Now imagine, that for every 100 women, only 4 consider themselves to be beautiful. Perhaps you are one of them. Perhaps you are one of the 96%.

The Butterfly Foundation wants to challenge the way most women see themselves with a MakeUp Free Me Day to be held on Friday 30th September. The challenge is to go make up free for 24 hours, and ask your family and friends to sponsor your action. You can register here. If you are not a makeup wearer and you'd like to support the initiative with a donation, you can do so here.

Funds raised will help support The Butterfly Foundation who work to provide support to those suffering from eating disorders and negative body image issues.

Organisers say, "We want to help create a world where women love and celebrate who they are. Our mission is to empower women to develop and nurture positive body image. So we are working with charities already in this space to help bring our vision about."

Make Up Free Day is not anti-makeup. As they say, '"there's nothing wrong with a bit of makeup but by going makeup free for a day, we hope to promote positive body image".

On top of this fundraising campaign though, you're invited to Makeup Free Me Girls' Night, an 18 event. Tickets are $55 which include canapés, drinks, giveaways and entertainment. All proceeds will go to The Butterfly Foundation. And, you guessed it, the party is a makeup free zone, so come fresh-faced. Tickets are available for purchase here.
