You don't have to go to Colombia or Honduras to get your hands on your 'fix'. You can set up a lab in your own kitchen to produce little bags of this favourite white powder whenever you want.

It makes you giggle with delight and it gives a funny sensation in your mouth.

This white stuff is very profitable. Package it up and sell it in little bags at fetes to fundraise for the school. Teach the kids to make it on rainy days. Allow them to experiment with different formulas and flavours and they will be out of your hair for hours.

Dip your finger into the powder and taste it to see if you have the right strength before you make up a batch.

It's also a great idea for birthday parties. Set up a mini lab and let the kids make their own. Be careful, it's addictive and can only be taken in small quantities. Don't let them O.D. on it, as too much can make kids hyperactive and their parents may not appreciate it. Everything in moderation.

Ahhh yes, Sherbet brings back many fond memories carrying around my little bag dipping my wet fingers or a candy stick and watching it change colour.

Making your own Sherbet is so much fun and oh so easy. You probably already have all the ingredients in your kitchen cupboard and you can whip it up in a flash.

Sherbet Recipe:

All you need is a few bowls, measuring spoons and some small white lolly bags.

Ingredients:
3 tea spoons: Icing Sugar
1/4 teaspoon: Bicarbonate of Soda
1 tea spoon: Citric Acid
2 tea spoons: of your favourite Jelly Crystal flavours

Place the ingredients into a small white bag, twist or fold the top closed and shake, shake, shake for about 10 seconds or until all the ingredients are mixed thoroughly together.

You can either lick it with your fingers, use a paddle pop stick or a tiny spoon to consume it.
