Sometimes, picturesqueness has to win out over convenience. is hardly in a central location, but its surroundings are ideal for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Situated in the heart of Jells Park and with large windows overlooking Jells Lake, Madeline's has a very pleasing aspect.



Madeline's is open every day of the year except Christmas Day. Opening hours are 9 am until 4 pm Monday to Friday, and 8 am until 5 pm on weekends. Madeline's serves breakfast until noon. You can get eggs in a variety of different permutations, as well as toast and pancakes. Lunch is available from noon onwards. There are light meals such as bruschetta or pumpkin tart, or more substantial meals such as the Jells Beef Burger or pasta of the day. There are also a variety of sweets and desserts. For afternoon tea there are a variety of flatbreads and antipasti, or something sweet such as a fresh muffin.



The service is a little slow here, but when you have such a relaxing view it doesn't matter so much. The food is well-presented and there is an interesting variety of loose-leaf teas.

Madeline's is available for weddings and functions, and can arrange marquees, jumping castles, and the like. Jells Park is popular with runners and bike riders. Madeline's is a pleasant end to a ride in the park.
