The main bar area of Madam Sousou's
I finally decided to bow to popular pressure and dine at this trendy, french-inspired restaurant and I was not disappointed.
Madame Sousou can be found on Brunswick St, Fitzroy where it stands out among many popular and trendy eateries. If it's a nice day I recommend eating outside to soak up the sunshine and Fitzroy atmosphere.
My partner and I ate here for lunch, and we enjoyed a quality pie, salad and brulee each. While the food is not cheap, it tasted amazing and was made with quality ingredients. The salads and lunch items are on display in the window, which is what drew us into the restaurant in the first place. They also sell bottles of wine and liquer imported from France, and the staff were all too happy to let us browse the selection. The venue is adorned with beautiful and unique artworks, some of which are available to purchase (if you are that way inclined.)
The staff at Madam Sousou are professionals at what they do - offering friendly, prompt and quality customer service. They are warm and accommodating, and quick to explain the days' specials. You can browse the menu at
Madam Sousou's Website.
While Madam Sousou is thought of as a dinner restaurant, I thoroughly recommend dining here for lunch on a balmy spring day. It has amazing food and service, a great reputation and is a great place to see and be seen.
