It's been two years in the making - the $440 million world class redevelopment of the Macquarie Centre is at last complete, making it now the largest shopping centre in Sydney.
GAP is one of the new shops to open at Macquarie
Dedicated followers of fashion will be thrilled to explore the new two level galleria which houses 130 new stores including major international contenders Zara from Sweden, Japanese heavyweight Uniqlo and Californian powerhouse Forever 21 (opening December 6 2014).
The atmosphere inside the centre as Uniqlo opened its doors for the first time was nothing less than electric. Hundreds flocked to the shop, which pumped with music, flashed with ticker-tape messages and a huge LCD screen mounted above the entrance, echoing its Tokyo roots.
H&M and David Jones make for an impressive shopping experience!
Part of the redevelopment is a fabulous new food court with a sushi train and great noodle bars to stop and recharge your batteries, before you get ready to shop 'til you drop all over again!
