is located on the Bouddi Peninsula on NSW Central Coast – approximately 90 minutes north of Sydney. It is rated as one of the top one hundred surf beaches in Australia and its Surf Life Saving club provides surf patrol during summer holidays and on the weekends in winter.
Surf Club runs a junior activity program, known as 'Nippers', which provides a great opportunity for families to become involved in surf lifesaving. More importantly however, Nippers teaches kids how they can keep themselves and their friend's safe at the beach while having a heap of fun along the way.
Adjacent to the Surf Club is a tidal swimming pool, which is suitable for young children. Older children can swim at the beach between the flags, but be sure to supervise them as the surf can get rough.
At the southern end of the beach, you will find Mac's point kiosk which serves hot food as well as coffee, drinks and ice creams. Alternatively, bring your own sausages and cook them on the BBQs provided just behind the kiosk, while enjoying a spectacular ocean view.
Across the road from the beach is a small playground and also plenty of grassy area, so you can enjoy a picnic or the children can play ball games. Toilets and showers are located near the carpark.
The area around offers great bushwalking opportunities to other beaches such as Copacabana Beach, Little Beach or Maitland Bay.
