Sometimes the best food discoveries are made in your own backyard. The establishment of Kingsgrove's new play and shopping space called The Pottery has definitely given this area the facelift it deserves. was a beautiful new food discovery by yours truly recently. In fact, it's so great I've already recommended this place to my foodie neighbours. They too are delighted!

On a hot day in Sydney, you don't particularly want a hot coffee. One was rather excited to find Iced Chai on the menu. is a corner cafe. If you're coming from Kingsgrove Train Station (The Pottery is right next door); this is the first cafe you'll see right underneath some brand new apartments.

Apart from being specialised coffee roasters, is also licensed. They're also becoming fast known to brew some local and imported beers on tap. The food is also something. To begin with, their head chef has over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry.

Despite coming to on a hot day, it was relatively windy. All of the great outdoor tables were taken, and their little upstairs dining area was closed.

The ambience did feel a little stuffy inside, and therefore I found a relatively good spot, only to move as soon as my water spilt. The wind took it away!

Thankfully the wind did not break the glass. The staff were accommodating and ever so helpful. Full table service is provided, or you simply order and pay at the counter. They're thoughtful; you can help yourself to ample cold water at the counter.

Again, who would have thought that Kingsgrove was becoming trendy - now giving some of the cafes in the city a good run for their money. Love the visible bricks; it offers a homely ambience.

It did not take long for my Iced Chai ($5) to arrive. Despite asking for a small, I was super impressed with the sheer size. Some of the milk was dripping by the sides. The staff apologised, and fixed it up right away.

Upon taking my first sip - I was in iced chai heaven. This treat is beautifully decorated with some crushed ice, yet there was plenty to drink. The coolness was just perfect.

Ordering the Eggs Benedict ($13.90) with ham, spinach and hollandaise sauce on toasted sourdough bread was a decision well made. I am pleased that offers an all day breakfast menu. With this dish, you can choose between the ham or the salmon. If you opt for the salmon instead, you only pay $1 extra.

Beautifully presented on a black plate. It looked like too much butter was on the bread, however, upon taking your first bite of sourdough supreme - the butter did not have that guilt factor attached.

You can choose how you wish your eggs to be cooked; I chose to have them poached. The yolk was runny at the right consistency, and this dish filled me up. The ham complimented the fresh spinach beautifully. There was nothing I could fault about this dish. I loved it. With this and a small chai drink, I was so full to the point that I needed a little siesta afterwards.

I am curious to see how much Iced Chai someone receives if they happen to order a large one here. Everything was better than expected. Especially the food.

I will return to . This recent food discovery is only a two-minute train ride (or a little longer to easily walk) to and from my house.

Thank you . You're a culinary force to be reckoned with for the better.
