If antique aircraft are your thing, or you are just looking for an interesting day trip out of Sydney, then Luskintyre Aviation Flying Museum may be just the ticket.

Nestled in the Upper Hunter, amidst rolling green pastures dotted with cows and horses and grapevines just beginning to show their buds, this is a peaceful place to spend a few hours.

Home to the Tiger Moth aircraft and open to the public on Saturdays, you can have a wander around these ancient flying machines and chat to passionate pilots who have made antique aviation their life's hobby. There is even a tiger moth museum and a newly erected "club" - a corrugated iron shed complete with fancy coffee machine and roaring fire.

Only two and half hours from Sydney it's worth a trip and you can always stop at a nearby vineyard and get some wine on the way home.
