is across the road from the Wu Dao Kou train station (and upstairs through a cafe) - very much a student area of multicultural Beijing. It's great for travellers because most of the customers don't speak Mandarin well, so the staff are used to speaking English and/or gesturing and pointing at menu items.

Each day of the week has something special about it - pub quizzes, live music, and so on. My personal favourite is Open Mic night each Sunday. Anyone can walk in and sign up to sing on stage - accompanied by the hosts, or by their own instrument.

The food is Western-style pub food (their burgers are famous) and the cocktails are excellent. The staff are great, and the free internet is much better than the connections found in the average hotel.

The best thing about Lush is the atmosphere - it's a 24-7 party, and it's easy to join in.
