Luna is well worth a visit for a night out if you're coming to Perth anytime soon. Nestled in the heart of Leederville, it's an arty cinema based inside a historic building at the end of the cappuccino strip. It's surrounded by great restaurants and bars, therefore its the ideal location for a movie before or after a meal. Or, if you visit on a Monday, you can catch their 'double' offer and catch two movies back to back for the price of one, ($11.50).
In the summer months, Luna opens it's outdoor cinema and allows you to order wood-fire pizzas and drink wine and beer whilst relaxing on one of Perth's long summer nights.
Luna tends to shy away from blockbuster as such, offering visitors a more arty experience, often showing independent, foreign and alternative cinematic masterpieces.
Leederville is just ten minutes train journey from Perth underground, or a 20 minute stroll down Newcastle Street from Northbridge. This place is definitely worth a weekend visit, occasionally it will house special events, such as Q and A sessions with directors after a movie has been shown. Keep an eye on the Luna Leederville's website for upcoming events and offers.
