A freelance writer and father of two, I am interested in almost anything the ever-changing city of Brisbane has to offer. When I am not seeking the kid-friendly and affordable, I am tracking the home-grown and the unique... Come and discover with me!

Where is the Love? It's a question no doubt frequently asked in New York City, where a population density of nearly 30 000 people per square mile can make getting along a serious challenge. This summer, though, the efforts of Big Apple residents to live together in harmony will be supported by one of the oldest and most experienced names in the Love business: the Goddess Aphrodite herself. Realising that "if She can make it there, She can make it anywhere", the great Goddess intends to bring Her awesome powers directly to the streets of the great metropolis through a live interactive project known as LOVE TV. During a month-long series of appearances Aphrodite will bless all five boroughs and some of New York's funkiest arts and music events with Her gracious presence, igniting the hearts of thousands of our US cousins with Her bewitching blend of urban-screen installation art, citizen journalism and L-O-V-E.

Aphrodite's Story: The Birth of LOVE TV.

But while Aphrodite's unique brand of Love 2.0 may be given freely, plane fares to New York for a Love Goddess, a support crew, a giant hot-pink TV, and a swag of hi-tech love-sharing accessories are not. If you're one of the many Aussies fortunate enough to have already shared live Love with Aphrodite during such events as the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Melbourne Comedy Festival, Sydney Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, or more recently during this year's LOVE TV Postcode 4101 project in Brisbane; if it warms your true-blue heart to know that Aphrodite chose our very own Bondi Beach as the site of her latest reincarnation; or if you simply agree passionately with Hal David that "what the world needs now is love sweet love", you will surely jump at the chance to support the great Goddess' quest by contributing to Her Pozible campaign.

A cutting-edge crowdfunding platform, Pozible was developed as a means for creatives of every imaginable description to pursue projects without funding from government or large sponsoring organisations, and operates on the principle that every little bit helps. For a minimum contribution of a single Aussie dollar, anyone from anywhere can pledge money to a project they admire, and receive rewards from the project's creator proportional to the amount donated. Rewards for contributions to LOVE TV's NYC 2012 project range from a personal hug from the Goddess Herself for $10 through to the glittering $5000 package, which includes a signed original photograph, a double pass to the 2012-13 Peats Ridge Festival, a personal interview with Aphrodite in the Big Hot Pink TV, and your very own "philanthropic superstar" page on the LOVE TV website.

Aphrodite's Love-Sharing Action around the world - a mission worth supporting.

This weekend, you only have to go as far as your computer keyboard to find that warm fuzzy Loving feeling. If you haven't already shared the Love with Australia's very own Aphrodite Upgraded, check out the links featured in this article and find out for yourself why LOVE TV is a channel well worth tuning into—then jump over to Pozible for your chance to help many others around the planet do the same.

Come on in and help Share the Love!
