As a resident of Park Orchards I have seen numerous cafes and deli's enthusiastically set up shop in the main strip only to fold months later. Why this constantly occurred was somewhat puzzling although perhaps in retrospect one of the key ingredients to a successful café was always missing. That was of course until Lorenti's Cafe came to town.
Met with the same skepticism for its success as it's predecessors Park Orchards residents gave Lorenti's a chance and have kept giving it that chance since its establishment in 2006. With great food, exceptionally good coffee, a wonderful atmosphere and great service Lorenti's has brought with it more life and vibrancy than Park Orchards had ever seen.
If the crowds that flock to this little cafe are any indication then Lorenti's café is well worth a visit. The waft of rich coffee rivals that of the coffee houses in Venice which is always a good gauge of its quality this of course did not go unnoticed by the local newspaper naming Lorenti's the best coffee in the
Manningham area. The food is also no exception as you feast your eyes on the sweeping glass display of glorious fresh salads, crusty chicken rolls, panini's, focaccias, wraps, whole chickens and an array of beautiful delicatessen produce.
There is a clean, casual and relaxed atmosphere about this place but there is certainly nothing informal about their food. On the other side of the cafe is the coffee station where is yet another display of cakes and other sinful sweet treats that will have your mouth watering. This thriving hub is perfect for a cafe luncheon with some friends, a coffee after your morning jog or for the expectant food connoisseur. Only a short drive to the banks of Yarra River, make it a day trip with the fam and Lorenti's your much needed lunch break.
