Front and Garden View

As I made my way across Euston to Clerkenwell for my first visit to Look Mum No Hands, I couldn't help but notice those on the road with me. As I moved further away from the traffic packed Euston area and closer to the café, there were fewer cars and many more cyclists sharing the road. I knew this was a good sign.

I had never been to a cycling themed café before and had no idea what to expect. As I rolled up, I was immediately intrigued. There was a beautiful garden filled with tables and bicycles of all types locked up or leaning along the perimeter.

When you walk in, you see cycling memorabilia, a workshop (complete with a mechanic fixing any bike issues you may have), and an inviting array of good-for-you pies and salads, fresh baked goods as well as any drink from hot espresso and loose leaf tea, and energising smoothies to loads of imported beer and generous glasses of wine.

As though sitting alongside fellow cyclists after their ride, to those who simply enjoy the café culture and bring their laptops and hang out for the day, wasn't enough, whenever any cycling races air (yes, there are more than Le Tour de France), they drop a big screen from one wall for viewing.

The minute you enter Look Mum No Hands, you feel as though you've entered into an elite London club – everyone knows everyone else, helping to create the ultimate comfy café experience.

And if at the end of your visit, you want to take a piece of Look Mum No Hands with you – they have a multitude of their own, as well as other items for sale to tide you over until your next visit – and you know there will be a next time.

Sounds good.
Cycling is good for the legs and can be great fun as long as you dont get bike rage. Its a big thing here on the weekends for people to cycle and find a cafe for breakfast or lunch. Good way to exercise, eat well and chat with friends without over chatting!

Looks like a great little place, and I love the name! Unfortunately I haven't been to the UK for about 10 years, but I'm still putting things on my list for the next trip. I think this might just have to be one of them, although I'll have to pick up a bike from somewhere so I don't feel out of place.
