This gorgeous little book was made for early readers and counters alike.

The cover has a cute, yellow fluffy stuffed baby chick attached to it and looks just adorable sitting on top of any bookshelf. There is even a little tag around its neck for your child (or yourself) to put their name on it.

This book is very easy to read, with only 2 short lines per page.
It's the story of a little chick, who wants to find a playmate, but only finds that the other animals on the farm are far too busy working.

Little Chick helps the reader learn to count from 1 to 5, with wonderfully written rhymes by Stewart Cowley, which have been beautifully accompanied by wondrous illustrations by Susi Adams.

RD Press first published this book in Australia in 1996
