Located within Harbour Town Shopping Centre in West Beach, Lindt Chocolate Shop is a great place to see and purchase various products from the Swiss company, Lindt. First established in 1836 as a small shop in the town of Zurich by David Sprungli-Schwarz and his son Rudolf Sprungli-Armmann, Lindt has grown into a company that produces a great variety of chocolate products. The shop is very popular, attracting a decent number of shoppers when we visited.

The first thing that caught our eyes was their pick and mix bins, where you can select a bag or box and fill them with the Lindor chocolates provided. Lindor is perhaps their best known product, consisting of a chocolate filling encased in a crunchy chocolate shell. Pricing is based on the bag or box you selected, so you have the freedom to choose as many of your desired variations as the bag or box can hold. There was a 50% off discount when we visited so we decided to pick out some of our favourites. The staff member advised us to go for the box because it is better value for money.

The store also stocks a variety of other Lindt products, some of which we have not seen stocked in Australian supermarkets before. One of the most interesting products is a chocolate spoon for stirring into a mug of warm milk to make your own hot chocolate.

If you are feeling thirsty, you can choose from one of various drinks at the counter. We chose their Hazelnut Hot Chocolate which was of the right temperature and had a delectable taste similar to hazelnut spread. There is also a Salted Caramel variation. Both these flavours are part of their Lindt Winter Hot Chocolate range and are available for a limited time only.

Ambience of the shop was very pleasant with the displays doing a great job of showcasing their products. Plenty of off-street parking is available in the carpark that is part of the Harbour Town Shopping Complex.
