Always the go to place for a milk hot or an iced chocolate at Darling Harbour.
Lindt Chocolat Cafe at Cockle Bay Wharf always comes to mind. Sitting inside can get quite noisy and stuffy, so it is best to sit outside and get a view of the bird statues and the waterfront if you can. This is generally quite easy to do during the week, except on a Friday or a Saturday night.
On a Friday or a Saturday night at this establishment things get quite busy, and expect much longer waits for service. I do not bother buying any chocolate to take away, as it is cheaper to buy their chocolate blocks at the supermarket.
There has never been an issue with my milk hot or iced chocolate coming to me. My only gripe with this establishment is that it would be nice to actually drink my water from a glass as opposed to a plastic cup. Otherwise quite good and the staff are quite efficient and the beautiful ambience is a bonus.
With anything purchased here, it is advisable to drink plenty of water to minimise the rich aftertaste in your mouth.
