Cafe Lime 5 Nine is in a convenient, central location in Ipswich, close to bus stops, the Ipswich Library and the Ipswich Hospital. They are open seven days a week and serve breakfast from 7am until midday. There is indoor and outdoor seating, including on the balcony upstairs with a view of the comings and goings on the street below.

The drinks menu includes fresh three fruit juice. You can pick from a selection of different fruits and vegetables to go in it. I chose pineapple, apple and mint. It was deliciously fresh and frothy.

I ordered the vegetarian fry up, which came with sour dough toast, cooked tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms, a poached egg and haloumi.

It didn't look like the most inspiring meal ever but looks aren't everything. The mushrooms, tomato and spinach were well done, though the haloumi was sliced maybe a bit too thin so it became a bit rubbery. The toast was a bit soggy from resting in the sauce, which I hate, but that's just me.

We were there for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was fairly quiet, which I quite like first thing in the morning. It started to get a bit busier around the time we left, at about ten am. The service was really friendly and the food arrived quickly. I'd definitely be happy to go there again for another relaxed Sunday breakfast.
