'Limbo Unhinged' at The Garden of Unearthly Delights

Comedy is available in Adelaide year round, so is music and theatre acts, but shows like Limbo Unhinged can be found nowhere in town outside the Fringe. To try to label it is a challenge - it's not circus, it's not acrobatics, it's not cabaret, it's not vaudeville, it's not dance....it's so much more.

I lost count of the number of times I said "nooooooooo" out loud not believing what I was seeing. Contortionists, fire breathing, sword swallowing, acrobatics, singing, tap dancing, music, comedy - and often the performers doing more than one at a time!



This is a new show - Limbo was a crowd favourite in 2013, to call this show bigger and better is underplaying how big it is! This show won awards at Perth Fringe, and wowed the audience on their first night in Adelaide. The sheer energy is contagious, I walked out of there hurting (not just for the performers - my mouth hurt from smiling, my ribs from laughing, my hands from clapping, my throat from cheering). Every act is bigger and better than the last. And the musical tracks set the mood and emotion perfectly.

This is an 11 out of 10 performance, and is a show that cannot be put into words (beyond "WOW!"). You'll just have to go and see it, to believe it's possible.
