I'm certain I've been coming to Lilies on Brougham for more than a decade, and I love it every time. Whether it's a tasty selection from the choicest menu, an evocative gift from the tables of homewares or an exceptionally healthy pot from the nursery, a visit to Lilies will whisk you to a sensory haven that's hard to leave.



See.The beautiful garden established by award winning landscape designer, Robert Boyle, presents postcard pictures around every corner, so take a stroll before or after you order and soak up the rare serenity of a provincial-styled wonder that gets better every year. Inside, the homewares are heartily French, with essentials like handmade pottery dishes and canisters alongside simple beauties like lanterns and baskets.





Hear.French lyrics and canary song (from real canaries) create the backing track to the tranquillity of Lilies, so if what you need to hear is the latest gossip from your friend, or the sound of your own thoughts as they gather, there is no noisy clatter or hum here.




Taste.With a new French chef escalating the authenticity of Lilies fare, there are now more treats on the menu (and that only makes it harder to choose), as well as the particularly yummy breakfasts, wholesome lunches and classic scones that have always come from the kitchen. Everything ripe and plump from Lilies' own kitchen garden finds its way to the plate for the freshest touch on a small, but well considered, daily menu.





Touch.French bed and table linen adornments are mostly muted in calming taupes and grey, while colourful finery can be found on the racks of graceful clothing and tables of unique jewellery. Quaint animal toys and keepsakes in the same fabrics are fairly priced and special to put away for birthday surprises.
