For some, Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate their relationship with someone they adore, while for others it can be a painful reminder that they are alone.
But thanks to the Animal Welfare League of Queensland (AWLQ), you can make this Valentine's Day one to remember!
Singles and animal lovers from all over south east Queensland will be meeting up at the Regatta Parade Park, Southport on Saturday 18 February for the inaugural
'Let Your Mate Find You a Date' fundraising event.
Meet singles and their pets from across South East Queensland and make new friends while raising money to help keep the three AWLQ shelters running.
Tickets cost $25 and go straight to helping the shelters feed, care for and re-home over 10,000 stray and abandoned animals that are put into their care each year.
The
'Let Your Mate Find You a Date' fundraiser will kick off at 5pm and run till 7pm with each guest receiving a complimentary non-alcoholic drink and canapés throughout the afternoon.
