The Being Space, a team project by experienced and passionate mental health clinicians Kali Lohman (psychologist) and Suzanne Staal (clinical social worker), is presenting a new course this Winter, entitled Anxiety: Learning Healthy Coping Strategies.
This 6-week group program for adults supports participants to make a simple but radical shift in their relationship to the thoughts, feelings and body sensations contributing to anxiety.
Held at Zen Yoga in Brisbane, you can choose from two convenient session times:
The 6-week course utilises an Acceptance and Commitment approach with an emphasis on cultivating Mindfulness. The course is filled with accessible, well-researched exercises that teach participants how to step out of the habitual, automatic patterns of mind and body that arise when we become anxious. This enhances the ability to cope, grow and re-engage with a life that is valued and meaningful.
This experiential program supports participant learning and is facilitated by Kali and Suzanne, who are an experienced psychologist/social worker team and dedicated mindfulness practitioners.
If you're still struggling with anxiety despite everything you've tried, it may be time to try a different and refreshing approach that is evidence-based and receives excellent feedback from a wide range of individuals.
The all-inclusive cost is $350.
ATAPS approved and free to any patients referred through Brisbane Mind. Alternatively, participants may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. See your GP to discuss.
