Learning a language can open a world to you. It's great for the mind and its great way to meet people who have the same interests as you.
And of course, it's essential preparation if you are wanting to travel and immerse yourself in a new culture.
WEA offers evening and weekend courses in French, Italian, Japanese, Indonesian, Greek, German, Chinese Mandarin and even ancient Egyptian.
Courses focus on the basics and useful conversation in an informal and encouraging atmosphere (not too grammar heavy). Groups are small enough for you to ask questions. The Fun & Travel courses focus on how to ask simple questions, talk about yourself, make enquiries and socialise.
So, whether you are going to Egypt looking for tombs or going to Hong Kong to barter for bargains, give another language a go.
