If you're looking for a fun, action-packed, activity then look no further than a visit to Laserzone. They offer a great Laser Tag facility, where players have a laser shootout, trying to 'tag' their opponents as many times as possible with handheld 'phasers'.

If you're still staring blankly at the screen, Laser Tag is like a cross between a first-person-shooter video game, and paint ball. Players wear computerised vests that register each time they are shot or 'tagged' by another players' gun-like 'phaser'. You can play Laser Tag as a team or on a solo mission. You can choose one of the three, coloured, Laserzone teams. Individual points and team points will all be displayed once the mission is over.

You don't have to worry about the pain that is associated with the similar sport of paintball, the lasers are completely painless and are not harmful to eyes. Your vest will notify you when you've been hit, but otherwise you wouldn't even know it.

Games, or missions as they're known, usually go for 10-15 minutes. Anyone can hop in and have a go. Laserzone recommend a minimum age of 5-7 years, but every child is different. The games are played in a darkened room, so it probably wouldn't be appropriate for any children who are scared of the dark. If you're not sure how your kids will fare, then you can always organise to stand in on their first game. Other bystanders can view the action from the television screens outside the arena. This doesn't quite compare to a mission, but it is fun to see the game played out and the scores rise.

Laserzone have a range of different options aimed at adults, children, and groups. Rather than list them all here, head on over to their website to check them all out and find the one that suits you best. You can even sign up to the Laser Tag league, a great option for those with a competitive streak.

Birthday parties can also be held at Laserzone. Food and drink are supplied, as well as two games of Laser Tag and time on their X-Box and game machines. It's a great way to control active kids, who can sometimes get restless at parties.

This isn't just a game for kids, or a game for adults, it's for everyone. Use strategy to come out on top, or have a free-for-all and blast everything in your sight. Whatever your age, or playing strategy Laserzone will accommodate. Laserzone are happy to tailor your Laser Tag experience to your needs, so give them a call on 8186 3700 to find the best option for all. You can check out their very comprehensive website for any other information you might need.
