La Pagnotta is an unassuming place which, when you are seated, is like sitting in a coffee lounge in Italy. Many people, and particularly the staff, are chattering away both to customers and each other, in Italian.

They make mainly pizzas, which are made on the premises where they also bake typical Italian cakes, and also do breakfast and light lunches.

Pizzas are ordered by the slab and are not greasy.

A very casual place, which is usually buzzing with people and the staff are always smiling and pleasant.

We went here after lunch for a coffee but could not resist one of their cakes. Prices start from just $1.50 and we shared a custard horn for $4.00. It was delicious and the coffee was very hot as ordered.

They also make their own bread, including rolls, and their doughnuts are worth having with your cup of coffee.

There are about ten different types of bread loaves and all of the ones I have tried were excellent.

They sell HUGE jars of Nutella, as well as tiny ones, which are just $1.50.

They serve breakfast from 7.30 am to 11.00 am, and although I have not tried their breakfasts, I am sure they would be good as I have not had anything in this cafe that I could say was not excellent quality.

They are open from 7.30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday and 7.30 am to 2 pm on Saturday. They are situated on the corner of Victoria Road, and Alexander Drive, Malaga, and there is plenty of off street parking available.

They also do catering, as well as take away, and more information can be seen here on their website .
