A couple of weeks ago my family visited , a Malaysian-Chinese restaurant in the heart of Flemington. My son and his wife are regulars and love the food.

It was a busy Sunday night and the place was packed. As we hadn't make a booking I was a little worried we couldn't be seated but luckily we got a table for four with only a five minute wait. We were shown to a table towards the rear of the restaurant (which is surprisingly big) and shown menus straight away.

The waiters were lovely if a little hurried. The decor is very modern and the seating is reasonably comfortable. Not the sort of place for a romantic dinner for two, rather a family friendly establishment that you can happily take the little tackers to.

We shared a plate of 5 spice chicken ribs which could become an addiction. Two of us ordered the chicken laksa which came in huge bowls. The other meals were Rendang curried beef and Malaysian curried chicken. We also ordered steamed rice and roti bread which was probably overkill. My daughter-in-law asked for a doggie bag as she couldn't finish her laksa it was so filling. All the mains are well under $20.

I haven't eaten a lot of Malaysian food before but I will be in the future, I loved it.
