Craving a Malaysian Curry Laska? Then head to Laksa Bar, Little Lonsdale Street and feast on this spicy noodle with chicken, prawn or fish, based on rich and spicy curry coconut milk soup!

Laksa Bar is a casual no frills dining restaurant, with simple decor, and tasty Laksas bursting with flavour at a great price. I chose the skinny gluten free seafood laksa - highly recommended, loaded with mussels, calamari, and prawn, and a serve too large to finish.

My fellow diners had variations of Laksas (after all, we were at the Laksa Bar), all being delighted with their meal selection - with ten recommendations, how can you go wrong?

While service is typical Asian - fast and abrupt, the waitress did oblige us with taking a photo. The staff patiently answer questions bout the menu, and accommodate to gluten free diets.

A fun, ice-breaker for conversation, were the complimentary bibs given to Laksa diners. This certainly evoked chuckles all around! There are many other menu items for those that prefer noodle or rice dishes (and you can have a bib too).

So head on over for a cheap but tasty Laska and pair it with a Singha or Tiger to combat the heat. The icy cold air conditioning, the rushed service, the lively atmosphere, will have you thinking you have stepped into a hidden cafe in Malaysia.

Laksa Bar makes it on my Melbourne CBD Top Cheap Eats List.
