What better way to relax at the end the day than cruising along the Brisbane River and taking in views of the city lights over dinner. Well, here is how to do it.

Book yourself onboard one of the two icon Paddlewheelers, the 'Kookaburra Queen1' or the 'Kookaburra Queen 2'. Part of Brisbane's 'riverscape' for the past 20 years, the Kookaburra Queen Paddlewheelers still exist today, to provide these popular food and entertainment cruises, for either lunch or dinner. The Paddlewheelers leave from Eagle Street Pier, which is close to the Riverside end of Brisbane City. You can conveniently travel to Eagle Street Pier on the 'city cat' ferry from any of the 'ferry stops'

What, When and How much?
Dinner Cruises: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Except for Friday and Saturdays, the cost is $75 per person for a full seafood and cavery buffet, desserts, coffee and 'live entertainment'. Cruising time is 7.30 - 9.30pm, so you need to be ready to board at 7pm. Fridays and Saturday cruises are $85 per person.

Lunch Cruises: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays. Except for Saturdays and Sundays, the cost is $39, per person for a full buffet lunch (non-seafood), including 'hot and cold' cavery, desserts, coffee and entertainment. Saturdays and Sunday lunches include seafood as well. Cruising times for lunch are 12.30pm to 2pm, with boarding time at 12pm.

Seniors are entitled to a 15% discount on ALL cruises (I rang and checked this out as it only states this against the dinner cruises).
Link to cruise information here.. These cruises operate in all weather conditions including rain as you will be seated 'inside'.
Come on board now with this short video tour to have a look at the boats inside and out.

Catering for any sort of function, contact the company for your food and service packages. Additionally, what a lovely 'gift idea' for someone. You can purchase vouchers for this cruise and give to someone you 'care about'. Either for a special occasion, birthdays anniversaries, valentine's day etc, or even for 'no reason at all'. Link to information on vouchers here.

Special Offers
For a limited time only the cruising company is offering 'special offer' vouchers, provided to you once you have done a cruise, the offer is for 25% discount for you and a friend on a return cruise. As an option you can collect stamps instead and your 4th cruise will be complimentary. Continue to check the website for any other specials that may be offered at the time.
