Knitting is popular and very trendy these days. It has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years and there is a recognition of the creativity that can be a big part of it. And the satisfaction in having created something yourself is of course unbeatable. But where to start? Or if you already have some idea of what do, how to improve on that?
Perhaps some of the classes below will get you further on the road to beautiful knits:
I Knit - WaterlooThe I Knit store offers three evening beginners' knitting classes on a Tuesday night for £65; and three evening beginners' crochet classes. Special events are also organisedt (that's one in the picture at the top of this page) and there's a very well stocked shop, all based at its Waterloo shop at 106 Lower Marsh. I've also heard rumours of pear cider being made available on certain evenings ...
Stitch London event
Stitch London - Various LocationsStitch London is a knitting community that arranges learners' meetings. Just sign up for their newsletters to find out when they're holding their next one, sign up for it, bring along your "woolly weapons" and you'll be taught by one Stitch's volunteer knitters. They're completely free but a drink and a slice of cake to say thanks to your teacher is not discouraged.
