What's more fun than mini-golf? Themed mini-golf! And while it may seem a little bazaar,
King Tutt's Putt Putt (
corner of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Pandanus Avenue, Surfers Paradise) is fun for the entire family – including your mummy.
King Tutt's Putt Putt is an Egyptian themed mini-golf course that caters to all levels of expertise. The venue has three separate eighteen hole greens featuring different themes:
* Ancient Egypt is an indoor course with mummies, cobras and glow in the dark tombs,
* Tutt's Challenge is a trickier outdoor course set amongst the tropical gardens; watch out for crocodile!
* And because dinosaurs and ancient Egypt go hand in hand, the final course, Jurassic, is an indoor dinosaur themed course full of ferocious dinosaurs, caves and waterfalls.
Visitors may play on one, two or all three courses. Afterwards, children can enjoy arcade games and the Saloon Shooting Gallery while parents unwind at the 19th Hole Refreshments cafe. King Tutt's provides EFTPOS facilities, restrooms and free off street parking for paying customers.
The venue also hosts birthday parties and group events. For $17 per child, guests receive a round of mini-golf, a lunch platter, a birthday present for the guest of honour and a prize for the guest with the highest score. King Tutt staff can organise discount packages for group booking of ten people or more.
King Tutt's is open seven days a week from 9.00am until 9.00pm, except for Christmas Day. Prices range from $9.00 for a child for one course to $66.00 for a family of four for all three courses. See the website for a complete list of prices.
So get up off your asp for a day of mini-golf fun; don't play too hard through, or you'll have to see a Cairo-practor (okay, I'm done).
