Kinderchefs run a cooking program for children that teaches them all about cooking and eating good food. If your child loved tuning into junior master chef, or if you just want tin inspire your kids to eat their veggies, then the Kinderchef programs could be just the thing for your mini cook.

The Kinderchef pre-school program operates during the school term and it is aimed at children between 2 1/2 and 5 years of age. You will join your child in their class where they learn all about food, and make their own special treat to take home. The age group means that children can enjoy and participate in all aspects of the cooking, with just a little help from mum or dad. You do not need to worry about younger children not being able to grasp concepts aimed at older children, because these classes are made for them.

To help the kids feel comfortable in the cooking classes they have fun ways to keep them involved. The class will also include fun singing and stories for the kids. During circle time your little chef will learn all about the theme ingredient. There is a great educational aspect Kinderchefs, your child will learn about recipes, the methodology, and some great cooking skills. They will learn about produce and the process for getting it from the garden to their plate. Getting kids excited about cooking and healthy food can be a great way to introduce healthier options to their meals, without them getting scared off by all the green stuff.

While the Kinderchef programs run throughout the school term, there are special classes during the school holidays run for school age children as well. Your child can participate in the Mini Chef class if they are 3 to 7 years old. You'll join them, much like the regular Kinderchef classes, as they learn all about making some great food and come home with a yummy creation. For kids 8 to 12 years there is also the Junior Masterchef class, you can leave your little chef while they learn all about cooking their own healthy food. You'll be delighted by the new skills that your little one picks up, especially when they offer to cook you dinner afterwards.

If you're wanting to get your children involved then find out the upcoming venues that are near your area. Kinderchef classes are held in either Unley Park or Sommerton Park, but the holiday classes are held in various venues all over Adelaide so you are sure to find something close to you.

Classes range from $20 to $45 , but you can get special trial classes for only $15 per child. You can also get a 10% discount if you plan to attend a whole term of classes, as long as you book and term for the term up front. This is a great chance to get your child educated about good healthy food, and eating it at a young age. Parents will also be able to learn a bit for themselves, find out ways to get your children eating healthier foods and make them not only eat it but love it. You and your little one will both get to enjoy the tasty food that they cook up. Check out the Kinderchefs Website to find out what classes are in your area, and more information about joining on of the regular term classes.
